Social Interaction Skills - how your child interacts with others on a daily basis
- Produces speech: being able to communicate thoughts and feelings effectively is important for your child, this may be an issue if dyspraxia impedes their speech.
- Discloses: can your child give opinion ,express thoughts and feelings about themselves and others. Can they do this in a socially acceptable manner. They may feel uncomfortable doing this in front of peers or adults.
- Transitions: does your child recognize when a conversation is ending or changing direction, are they able to do this themselves when they are speaking to others.
- Matches language: does your child recognize when it is appropriate to speak louder or quieter or use appropriate language for home as opposed to school.
- Clarifies: is your child able to communicate when they or others do not understand what is being said or instructed.
